Let's Talk

WE ALL HAVE A STORY ABOUT OUR CURLS. HOW WE’VE FOUGHT THEM, EMBRACED THEM, IDENTIFIED THROUGH THEM. THEY REPRESENT OUR INDIVIDUALITY, OUR ANCESTRY, OUR PERSONAL EXPRESSION AND OUR STRUGGLES TO FIT IN THE NORM.

My story

At the age of three, my mother chopped off all my hair into a pixie cut. It made her life much easier, it made my life more complicated. Looking back, I realize how huge of an impact that had on my self esteem growing up. Being mistaken for a boy did not make me feel any better about myself. By fourth grade I had the voice to express I wanted to grow my hair out. I just had no idea what to do with it so I fought every curl with all my might. It took years to understand the natural unique gift I had been given. I wear my curl crown proudly and it is my mission to help others do the same. It is a journey that would be my honor to take you on.

Having been in the hair industry for 30+ years, I have seen many trends come and go and come back again. Curly hair was one of those trends but it shouldn’t be a trend. Natural curls and waves should be embraced and worn with pride.  After many years of searching for my true calling in the hair industry, I decided to make curly hair my primary focus behind the chair. It is where I feel most at home and end my day feeling fulfilled doing something I love.

I have received advanced training through Devacurl and am Level 1 certified in Rezo Cut

and Rezo Highlights and believe in continuing education

whenever the opportunity presents itself.
